Expertise/other membership/roles

  • Worked as an OT in a variety of settings spanning mental and physical health, in acute and community settings since 1991

  • Worked for Dorset CCG for seven years, firstly as a locality manager for the three Poole localities and more recently as a Principal Programme Lead with a focus on frailty, LTC management and end of life care

  • Understanding of the commissioning of primary care and community services

  • I am really pleased to be a part of the development of an AHP Council for Dorset and to see the introduction of a lead AHP role for the Dorset ICS
  • I really think that the AHP voice needs to be stronger across the system and the AHP Council provides the opportunity for us to be clear about our vision, articulate the roles AHP’s can provide across all parts of the ICS and encourage networking, sharing, and collectively raising the profile of AHP’s working both operationally and in senior leadership roles
  • To offer patient-centred, personalised care and support for the population of Dorset – in the right place, at the right time by the right person
  • The care should be seamless and provide the same agreed outcomes regardless of where in the county an individual resides
  • In order to achieve the above ensure a robust and resilient workforce is in place, working together on a shared vision
