Meet Katherine

I moved to Dorset over 20 years ago, initially to stay for maybe 5 years.

In that time, I have worked in town centre community pharmacies and an independent hospital before moving back to the NHS, initially in a small PCT and then larger CCG. I now have the best of both worlds, I live in a very diverse area of Bournemouth with a more urban feel, but travel most days to the CCG offices in Dorchester. Dorchester is a busy market town with stunning countryside surrounding it and lots of new development means there is a great pub and restaurant scene for post work drinks and lovely quaint shops to pop in at lunchtime.

“When travelling for work across our beautiful county we get lots of stunning views, picturesque and historic places are everywhere. From sites of special scientific interest and unspoilt coastal views, hedgerows of wild flowers and lots of wildlife sightings and yes the odd tractor.”

The best bit is the journey to work…..the train takes me across Poole Harbour and I witness the sunrises and sunsets, birdlife, tide changes  and every season over the second biggest natural harbour in the world.
