My name is Dana and I’m a Pre-Registration Pharmacist working in Christchurch, Dorset. I moved down to Dorset last year after completing my MPharm degree in Scotland. I chose to do my training year here due to the various career opportunities that Dorset has to offer for me as a future Pharmacist. Working in Dorset, I find myself constantly surrounded by beautiful scenery all-year round. During weekends, there’s always a place that you can explore and visit, whether that’s going to one of the many sandy beaches, or hiking along the Jurassic coast. Additionally, I chose to move to Christchurch due to its proximity to nearby cities such as London.
“I know I can always rely on my tutor and colleagues at work for support and help with my studies.”
I chose to do my training year in a community pharmacy due to the incredible amount of support offered to pre-registration pharmacists during their training year. I know I can always rely on my tutor and colleagues at work for support and help with my studies. Moreover, there are various pharmacy workshops and events available in Dorset to attend that have allowed me to develop knowledge and skills necessary for my training.
This year has been an incredible and invaluable learning experience for me. Once I qualify and register as a pharmacist, I know I’m going to carry on working in the Dorset region.
