About Us

Wimborne & Ferndown PCN was formed in July 2019, with five Practices working together to provide additional and improved services in our local area. We have adopted new roles within the PCN to support and broaden our primary care clinical teams which allows us to provide better care for our patients.

The PCN provides services to 41,000 patients across the 5 practices (Quarter Jack Surgery, Walford Mill Medical Centre, Old Dispensary, Penny’s Hill Practice, Orchid House Surgery) and is headed by our committed Clinical Directors and Network Manager. We also have a wonderful Care Coordinator to support the overall network team and services.

In addition to the PCN, our Practices are also part of Castleman Healthcare, a non-profit company owned by 13 GP Practices in North Poole and East Dorset (3 PCN’s). Castleman Healthcare offer additional services to our Patients through separate contracting arrangements, provide business and practical support to the PCN’s and support with representing the PCN’s voice within the wider healthcare system.
