We have an exciting opportunity for a developing Senior Leader with the passion to lead, manage and promote a high quality of service across the Crisis System across Dorset. The post will oversee the full suite of Dorset’s Crisis Mental Health Services including the Home Treatment Service, Psychiatric Liaison Teams, Connection Telephone Service and Retreats as well as be the link manager for the Recovery Beds and Community Front Rooms in Dorset.

 

You will have experience in clinical and operational management, with a record of providing innovative service delivery in community based mental health work, and an understanding of the needs of mental health service users from a diverse range of backgrounds. The catchment area spans both urban and rural areas and we are committed to providing easily accessible services to meet the needs of the people using them. You will have experience of working in a high volume, fast paced setting, you will enjoy a challenge and working in creative ways. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You will be working with high performing multi-disciplinary teams and will need to ensure synchronicity across these services and lead them in achieving both local and national standards of working. In return, we will support and facilitate your development in this role through clinical and management supervision and create a development plan tailored to your professional needs and experience. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your ability, whilst continuing to improve your skills and knowledge. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Mental Health Community Services Manager and Head of Mental Health to shape and deliver local and national strategies/initiatives to ensure expertise and excellent patient care.

 

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
