Full Time Community Learning Disability Nurse, Band 5 or 6, dependent upon experience

Are you an enthusiastic, forward thinking nurse who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver high quality nursing care? The Learning Disability Service in Dorset is staffed by a passionate and dedicated team and is looking for a like-minded nurse to join us. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within the challenging yet rewarding field of community learning disability nursing.

Working full time (37.5hrs) the successful candidate will have experience of working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and supporting them to live successfully in the community. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The Weymouth and Portland Integrated Community Learning Disabilities Team provides services in both urban and rural areas and will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their skills by serving this diverse population. The post holder will be based at the Weymouth Local Office but may be required to work across sites if a specific need arises.

We actively welcome applications from students who will qualify in this academic year, offering a successful applicant a Band 4 contract until they are qualified.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
