The Blandford CMHT are seeking to employ a qualified Band 5 or Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to work with the established team based in North Dorset to cover a 9 month maternity post.

Blandford offers a mix of urban and rural demographics but is only 10 miles from Wimborne and 14 miles from Poole.

This role will be varied and offers opportunities to work with service users suffering from a range of serious mental illnesses. A key aspect of the role will be to provide physical health checks, duty work and risk assessments primarily in a clinic setting. In addition, you will be supported to undertake care co-ordination of a number of service users.

You will be supported in your clinical work and professional development by an experienced Mental Health Nurse.

We are committed to staff development and training is available to enable applicants who wish to enhance specific skills in support of this role.

 

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
