Dorset HealthCare Trust is the main provider of Children and Young People’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing Services across Dorset.

Poole Core-Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service are seeking to recruit a full time, permanent CAMHS CBT Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who has experience of working with young people and their families with mental health difficulties.

The post holder will provide CBT expertise into the Poole CAMHS team and will provide intervention via one to one and group sessions to identified children, young people and families working alongside multi-agency statutory and voluntary agencies.

The post holder will also be required to provide clinical supervision and consultation to health colleagues and other agencies.

It is essential that you have a CBT qualification, registration and experience of working with children & young people with mental health problems.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
