We have vacancies for two Clinical Team Leaders to join our team. This is a great opportunity to take your first steps into a leadership role and demonstrate your knowledge and abilities, whilst continually improving services and providing hands on care to young people.

Pebble Lodge Hospital is a purpose built, 10 bed, general adolescent unit for young people aged between 12 and 18 years, who are experiencing acute and severe mental health problems. Pebble Lodge Hospital also provides an education and day programme service for these young people. Pebble Lodge Hospital is rated as outstanding by CQC.

Clinical Team Leaders undertake a dual clinical and leadership role acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager. They play a key role in the day-to-day management of the ward and are a main point of contact for advice and decisions, and will support, supervise and manage staff. They also assist in the delivery of local and nationally required outcomes and will often be given a lead role to manage in their own right. This post requires that you work a shift rotation including nights.

The multi-disciplinary team on Pebble are friendly, knowledgeable and have wide ranging skills to;

  • Treat informal young people and those detained under the Mental Health Act using positive engagement, talking therapies (CBT/DBT) and medicines.
  • Place the young people front and centre in their recovery journey.
  • Engage creatively with young people to involve and empower them to co-produce their individual care plans, together with their families.
  • Prioritise both mental and physical health wellness.
  • Help young people be apart of the community, charities, get active, eat well and be apart of their own wellbeing.
  • Promote freedom of choice by maximising independence and least restrictive practice, in a safe and therapeutic environment.

You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
