We are looking to recruit forward-thinking Mental Health Professionals from the field of nursing, occupational therapy and social work at Maiden Castle Road, Dorchester Retreat.

The Retreat is an exciting and innovative approach, delivered in partnership to support people experiencing mental health crisis.

Currently based at Maiden Castle Road, in Dorchester, The Retreat offers an open access service for people in crisis and distress. The purpose is to provide a space for people to be listened to, to connect with others and access peer support and brief interventions.

The staff team will be a multi-disciplinary team jointly managed and supported by Dorset Mental Health Forum and Dorset Healthcare. The Retreat is heavily reliant on lived experience and collaborative working at every level to deliver a radical, innovative service.

Essential training and induction will involve a World Health Organisation approved Suicide Prevention Skills workshop, Training on trauma informed care and work on partnership and collaboration that utilises a person’s lived experience of mental health.

This post is for 22.5 or 30 hours per week.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
