Could you tell the next part of the story about COVID-19 vaccination, supporting Dorset people to protect themselves against the virus that’s impacted everyone’s lives?

The roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination programme has been one of the biggest turning points of the pandemic, helping us find a way out of the restrictions.

And with vaccination continuing as a cornerstone of the response to the virus, it’s vital that we continue to communicate and engage well with people on how they can access their jab.

Dorset HealthCare is the lead organisation for Dorset’s vaccination programme, working closely with a wide range of partners to offer choice and convenience to our communities.

We need to top notch communicator to help deliver the next phase of our communications and engagement plan, which will support our operational teams as they protect local people.

With the spring booster campaign kicking off and the ongoing ‘evergreen’ offer for those eligible to take up the vaccine, there’s plenty to do for a proactive and creative comms whizz.

You’ll be energised by creating persuasive content using everything in the comms toolbox – from posters to web content, audio to video.

Working closely with our corporate comms team, you’ll use all our channels and maybe some new ones to reach every part of our community, especially those who are impacted by health inequalities.

You’ll work closely with a new engagement lead and uptake manager to ensure we create campaigns, materials and activities which work for our audiences and communities.

Our supportive, skilled central comms team will show you the ropes as you get stuck into the important job of getting to know and understand our vaccination service and working with our operational teams to keep vaccination at the top of everyone’s agenda.

This is a chance to be involved in one of the biggest games in town, working with communications colleagues across our health and care system and using your brilliant comms skills to make a real difference to people’s lives.

As we create our ongoing business as usual service this is currently a fixed term role with the chance of an extension as we work to understand how the service will run in future. It could be offered as a secondment to the right candidate, with agreement from your current employer.
