ARE YOU A QUALIFIED SPECIALIST COMMUNITY PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE – SCHOOL NURSING?

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) highly values the contribution that the CYP Public Health Service (School Nursing) makes to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families, using evidence-based, early intervention strategies

As a Specialist Practitioner, you will lead and participate in the School Nursing core programme, as underpinned by the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Children’s Services, Schools and other Health Care providers. You will be required to work closely with neighbouring School Nursing teams pan Dorset, to provide services in response to identified needs

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Practitioner (School Nursing) to join and complement our School Nursing teams. This post is a permanent post, 30 hours per week year round, to be worked over four days – the core hours being 0830 – 1630 (no weekend work) and based at Shelley Road in Bournemouth. Staff parking is available on site.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
