We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!
Our ambitious multi-million pound plans to develop our sites are well underway, including developing RBH as the major acute and emergency hospital in East Dorset, PH as the major planned care hospital, and ambitious plans for Christchurch to support on-going patient treatment.
Joining UHD gives you the opportunity to enjoy all that Dorset has to offer. Bournemouth is a vibrant university town , and Poole has a large natural harbour and is perfect for water sports or relaxing at a quayside restaurant.
With both the New Forest and Isle of Purbeck on our doorstep, over 7 miles of stunning sandy beaches and coastal paths, we are located within an area of amazing beauty providing a great place for you to achieve your rewarding work life balance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nurse led Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening Centre.
You will join a highly skilled, motivated team delivering bowel cancer population screening to Dorset. Bowel cancer screening is offered to every Dorset resident from the ages of fifty six years to seventy five years.
Over the next three years the screening age will be lowered to fifty years enabling the early detection of even more colorectal cancers. Successful candidates will be employed by University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Poole Hospital site. There will be an expectation that you travel to three other screening sites within Dorset.
Poole town boasts a bustling quay, some of the best beaches in England and a stunning natural harbour. From Poole there is easy access to the Dorset countryside, renowned for its areas of outstanding natural beauty and the spectacular Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, ideal for sports and outdoor activities. We have excellent schools, and top-rated family attractions.
Our town centre location means that we are conveniently situated for public transport. The bus and mainline train stations are both within easy walking distance, as are the Lighthouse Arts Centre, Poole Park and high street shops.
The successful candidate will provide expert knowledge, high quality care and psychological support to Dorset Bowel Cancer Screening subjects and their families.
