Women’s Health – Gynaecology- Healthcare Support Worker- Fulltime. Fixed term 12 months

We are looking to recruit compassionate and highly motivated Healthcare Support Workers to join our friendly Women’s Health Team at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). We provide a range of gynaecological services including minor elective surgical procedures, early pregnancy unit, and emergency gynaecology in addition to specialist women’s health clinics.

The successful candidates will be based on either the Poole (Harbourside Gynaecology Unit) site or Bournemouth (Jigsaw Women’s Health Unit) site, working within the fulltime role to support our existing clinical timetable across a six day working week.

Specifics of the role include working directly with multidisciplinary colleagues to chaperone patients and their relatives through sensitive appointments. Preparing and assisting within clinic rooms, undertaking clinical investigations and stock / equipment maintenance.

We provide learning and development opportunities to enable you to expand your knowledge and skills within our specialism- working alongside nurse specialists and our expert medical team.

The fixed term positions will enable the Women’s Health Service to continue to develop and meet the increasing demand of our service users. It is anticipated that there may be the opportunity extend this fixed term contract as part of our workforce planning for the future service.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
