We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

Our ambitious multi-million pound plans to develop our sites are well underway, including developing RBH as the major acute and emergency hospital in East Dorset, PH as the major planned care hospital, and ambitious plans for Christchurch to support on-going patient treatment.

We are pleased to be able to offer the following Specialist Midwife role in UHD:

Band 6 Professional Midwifery Advocate

The role is Band 6, with a minimum of 15 hours per week being allocated to this role. Any additional contracted hours will be completed in the clinical ward setting.

As a ‘sessional’ PMA the successful candidate with have passed a recognised university course and will have satisfied the internal processes to become a member of the PMA team.

Your role will involve working autonomously as a sessional PMA, offering staff support through Restorative Clinical Supervision. In addition, will undertake specific duties relating to the A-Equip Model as decided in liaison with the full time PMA.
