We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

Our ambitious multi-million pound plans to develop our sites are well underway, including developing RBH as the major acute and emergency hospital in East Dorset, PH as the major planned care hospital, and ambitious plans for Christchurch to support on-going patient treatment.

We have an exciting opportunity for applications from enthusiastic individuals to work within our busy theatre complex, we are looking for experienced theatre practitioners to work in a unique environment , a dynamic team that puts a big emphasis on well being and development, opportunities for progression within a newly formed NHS trust .

What can you give us ?

An upbeat attitude with a willingness to learn, grow and teach, experience within the operating theatres environment and flexibility.

Covering four suites within the Royal Bournemouth site of University Hospitals Dorset we have 17 operating theatres. We cover both elective and emergency surgery in the following specialities; gynaecology, orthopaedics, urology, vascular, colorectal, breast, endocrine and upper GI . At the forefront of technology we incorporate procedures carried out using a Da Vinci robot and aim to give all staff opportunities to train using this equipment.

We aim to take a holistic approach to staff welfare and work closely to balance the needs of our service with our colleague's human factors. In return we ask for flexibility and a positive attitude to work.
