Corporate Business Manager to Chief Executive
Are you a highly motivated manager, looking for an opportunity to develop your understanding of how hospitals function? Dorset County Hospital has a great opportunity for an experienced manager to join the corporate team and provide a support service to the Chief Executive.
This post of Corporate Business Manager will support the Chief Executive to provide strong, effective leadership to the Trust by providing personal support as well as overseeing the work of the Executive Secretariat to ensure a robust, comprehensive administrative and personal assistant service.
As this is a new role, you will have the opportunity to work with the Chief Executive to shape how this role develops. Co-ordinating a range of activities on behalf of the Chief Executive, and where appropriate linking with the Chair of the Trust Board, will be a core aspect.
- Ensuring the provision of a highly efficient, professional personal assistant service to the Chief Executive, Chair of the Trust Board and Executive Directors
- Prepare key papers on behalf of the Chief Executive. This will include presentations and short summaries/briefing documents following the review of complex documents
- Attend meetings with the Chief Executive as required to ensure effective communication and follow up of agreed actions
- Use your initiative to address and resolve problems managing with an uncertain environment and a high degree of ambiguity
- Education to masters standard or equivalent experience,
- Demonstrable experience as a senior Personal Assistant or Business Manager,,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision,
- The ability to manage complex information and above all, consistently demonstrate our Trust values in all your behaviours.
