The Diagnostic Imaging Department is now recruiting to a Radiology Nurse vacancy. The department is cohesive, friendly and forward looking with a strong bias towards excellent patient care. We organise regular CPD events and full training will be given in this speciality.

The Radiology Nurses are key members of the multidisciplinary team both in interventional radiology and other imaging modalities e.g. CT and ultrasound. The post holder will be involved with the pre, peri and post care of patients undergoing interventional procedures. This includes a variety of roles such as administering sedation, scrubbing to assist in procedures and the recovery of patients.

The post holder will also support the nursing care of patients undergoing CT and ultrasound drainages and biopsies.

The ideal applicant will possess recent nursing experience in an acute setting. Training will be offered within the department to cover all specific roles.

This is a part time post of 22.5 hours. Days are negotiable but must comprise full days of 7.5 hours worked 9.00am -5.00pm daily.
