We are keen to recruit a full-time Trust Grade ST3+/Fellow to join our vibrant and innovative Cardiology Team at Dorset County Hospital.

This post will provide invaluable practical experience but will also provide you with the potential to further develop your CV for those aiming to enter Cardiology Higher Specialty Training. In addition to managing Cardiology in-patients and out-patients, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills including diagnostic coronary angiography and much more.

The successful applicant would be expected to have completed Core Medical Training and hold MRCP (UK) or equivalent. Experience in Cardiology at core level is essential and experience in echocardiography would be an advantage.

The post will be a part of the acute/general medical StR tier at Dorset County Hospital, taking a share of the on call duties and gaining exposure to a wide range of medical conditions while being fully supported by a full junior and senior team. This will include full and equal access to supervision as well as internal educational and training opportunities and funded study leave.

This busy job provides excellent opportunity for clinical learning and development of skills. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching to a cohort of junior doctors and to participate in quality improvement projects.
