Where are you heading?
Poole Hospital offers all you need to start or develop your career
Come and join us at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Not only is it a great place to work; it's also a wonderful place to live. The town has great transport links, a bustling quay and some of the best beaches in England. You’ll also have easy access to the Dorset countryside, renowned for its areas of outstanding natural beauty and the spectacular Jurassic Coast, ideal for sports and outdoor activities.
Poole Hospital is one of the largest employers in the region and highly regarded across the NHS, consistently featuring within the top twenty per cent in both national patient and staff satisfaction surveys. We pride ourselves on positive team work, professional development and support staff to reach their fullest potential. All of this is underpinned by our unique philosophy, The Poole Approach, which pledges that we will strive at all times to provide friendly, professional, person-centred care with dignity and respect for all.
This is an exciting time for our staff, following a recent review of healthcare services in Dorset which will see major changes to the way healthcare is provided in our region. As one of the two acute NHS providers in the east of the county, our services will be closely linked to those provided at the Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We’re working in close collaboration to deliver excellent emergency and planned care over the two sites, for the people of east Dorset.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 5 registered Nurses to join our ever increasing and dynamic team on the ward C4.
C4 ward is a 12 -16 bedded ward for short stay medical patients with the ability to support the Trust pressures. It is a fast paced and dynamic ward focusing on getting patients medically well and safety discharging them in a timely manner.
On C4 we take great deal of pride in the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate nursing care this as reflected on our excellent friends and family feedback.
We offer development opportunities which include in house teaching sessions on acute illness management and safe discharge planning.
We promote excellence in practice and will always strive to develop the individual through a wide range of available courses tailored to the need of the service.
If you are highly motivated, have a passion for making a real difference to the quality of patient care delivery and can rise to the challenge of becoming an effective member of an established team, we would be happy to hear from you.
If this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
