We are seeking to recruit an experienced, HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy Team here in Christchurch on a full time basis (37 hours per week ) . The team work in the community with adults with long term health conditions and/or physical disabilities and provide holistic assessments and interventions that can include provision of equipment, minor or major adaptations and Moving and Handling assessments to facilitate greater independence and well-being for our customers. You will work alongside Social Workers and other practitioners and agencies to provide a person-centred approach to Adult Social Care within the new BCP Council. 

 

You will need excellent organisational skills to manage your own caseload and be confident in demonstrating clinical reasoning and identification of risk. An awareness of the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Adults is also desirable. Car driver essential for this role.

 

There are regular team meetings, supervision and a well-established culture of peer support within the team. There is also opportunity to complete CPD activities and use of reflective practice to develop skills and knowledge.

 

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which all of our employees will move on to.
