“When you see young people make progress it’s incredibly rewarding”

Sian is a clinical psychologist at Dorset CAMHS, based in one of the service’s community clinics.

As a psychologist, Sian usually sees children or young people who might have more complex needs. She works closely with other agencies, and also spends time supervising and training other CAMHS professionals.

‘When you’re working with children and young people, it’s most rewarding when you build a relationship with them,’ she explains. ‘And particularly when you’re dealing with more complex cases, to see them make progress and develop is incredibly rewarding.’
