What we’re looking for

The right people for the right job

  • Must be a qualified and registered (or due to be registered) Speech and Language Therapist

  • A willingness to learn and work within a team

  • Someone who is keen to provide high quality care and contributes to creating a better service for people living with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties

  • Able to undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs, and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team

  • Can provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care

  • Able to plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team

Newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist in Dorset

Hello! I’m Amina, a newly qualified speech and language therapist (SALT) based at Poole Hospital. I recently graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class degree Masters in Speech and Language Therapy.

My university consistently updated us on new Band 5 SALT positions across the country. When I came across an email talking about new opportunities in Dorset (complete with a catchy webinar poster of course), I decided it would be a great idea to sign up.
