Project management lite training

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting two virtual PM Lite cohorts in 2024, utilising MS Teams as our platform.

The first cohort commences on 11 January and will run for 5 weeks, every Thursday from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The second cohort will start on April 18, following the same 5-week schedule on Thursdays from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

PM Lite is an introductory course to project management and is aimed at individuals who are new to project management or those who are looking to refresh their knowledge. This training has been designed by experienced experts from across ‘Our Dorset.’

Good Community of Practice (Good CoP)

The Project Management Good Community of Practice (Good CoP) was set up in order to bring those involved in projects working within the Integrated Care System together. Through this community we aim to:

  • Reduce silo working

  • Assist in knowledge dissemination across the ICS within project management

  • Motivate our members through community support

  • Enable the easy formation of special interest groups through sharing contacts

  • Accelerate organisational learning through sharing of best practice and lessons learned.

The Community

The Good CoP community is based mainly through a Microsoft Teams site due to the adoption of Microsoft 365 across the system which facilitates sharing and involvement. We also hold meetings every other month to facilitate learning and sharing of experiences.

Coming soon…

We’re currently working on Our Dorset’s project management development hub.

We are focusing on designing modular-based and accessible training, aligned to the project management competency framework, which will be available to staff across the system.
