We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Admissions Officers with excellent administration and clerical skills. This is an ideal opportunity to become part of a team of staff who collectively provide an essential service to the hospital. However, as this post is a Night Service role so you will be working independently.

A flexible and positive attitude is essential, as is the ability to work well under pressure. The successful applicants will be well organised and computer literate. The ability to communicate effectively and politely with the wider multi-disciplinary team both internal and external to the organisation is required. An appreciation of maintaining and promoting patient confidentiality must be demonstrated at all times. Full job specific training will be provided.

We have a part time, Night shift post for 15.75 hours per week. You will be required to cover set shifts between 21:00 and 08:00 every Friday and every other Saturday Night. However, a key requirement of this position will be the ability to be flexible to cover your Night team colleague's annual leave or sickness, as per Trust policy. We are a 24/7 service so this will include weekend and Bank Holiday working. If you feel you have the necessary aptitude and can contribute to our Emergency Admissions Team then we would like to hear from you.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.

Rota:10.5 hour shift from 21.00 - 08.00, Every Friday and Every other Saturday Night
