Are you a qualified Nurse looking to work in a Community Nursing team? Looking for a healthy work/ life balance...Look no further…….we need a nurse for a 37.5 hours post.

We can consider a candidate requiring less/more hours.

Our shifts start at 8pm till 8am 7 days a week. Our service has 3 lease cars which are used during shift covering the whole of Dorset. We also travel in pairs 1 x registered nurse and 1 x HCA in the car and in patients’ homes. We share the driving overnight with the nurse and the HCA. The cars are stocked with essential nursing equipment, which may be required when visiting including catheters, wound dressings, palliative care stock.

There is an admin aspect of this role which entails a 6pm till 12am shift 7 days a week, where we answer phone-calls and triage patients before we visit. Support training is given on this aspect of the job to ensure confidence and competence. There are always other clinicians in the hub to gain support and advice from.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, who pride themselves in the quality of care they provide to patients to work within our District Nursing teams. Currently we have a vacancy to join our team providing essential care to the residents of Dorset.

The successful applicants will participate in the delivery of skilled autonomous nursing care to patients within their own home, and will gain an understanding of primary care including the management of long term conditions. You will have an opportunity to broaden your range of skills and knowledge in managing the nursing care of people in their own home or within local clinics.
