Are you an enthusiastic, forward thinking Occupational Therapist looking to develop their skills and experience? The Learning Disability Service in Ferndown and Purbeck, is staffed by a passionate and dedicated team and is looking for a like-minded Occupational Therapist to join us for a twelve month secondment.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice Occupational Therapy within the challenging and rewarding field of community learning disability.

Working part time (30hrs per week) the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their commitment to work proactively and in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and support them to live successfully in the community. This role requires you to maintain effective links with mainstream services, working in partnership with the CCG to support equal access. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in supporting health and occupational needs to support and empower people with a learning disability.

The post will require working within both the Ferndown and Purbeck areas (two days for each service) working within the office environment, home working as well as face to face patient visits in the community. This secondment opportunity allows you to develop your skills and build upon
your experience.
