We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

University Hospitals Dorset NHSFT (formerly Poole Hospital NHSFT and Royal Bournemouth Hospital NHSFT) has redesigned the structure of its Medical Physics team which has led to the creation of this new and exciting role.

Medical Physics is a well-integrated and essential element of the radiology service supporting these hospitals. The imaging services have grown and been fortunate to find themselves with increasing numbers of state-of-the-art equipment and services.

Links with Bournemouth University are being forged and the candidate would be in a position to exploit this for both the university and the trust to encourage recruitment, education and career progression for Medical Physics, Radiology and wider.

This post holder will manage the ionising radiation Medical Physics team and act as RPA and MPE for Radiology. You will work along-side the wider medical physics teams consisting of the non-ionising group, the nuclear medicine department and the radiotherapy physics team.

This is an exciting time to join UHD and an opportunity to shape the future.

Base Location: Poole Hospital you will be required to work across site.
