An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCA to join the Dorset Bladder & Bowel continence service.

The successful person needs an enthusiasm for continence and an interest to assist patients with their bladder & bowel issues and support the patient in managing their incontinence. You would be based in the Mid & North Dorset locality and linking with the local district nurse team and other health professionals within the community.

This is a part time role, 27 hours per week.

Responsibilities will require you to work mainly under the supervision of the clinicians within the team, but at times also to work autonomously. You will need to a full driver’s license and use of you own car, as you will be required to visit patients in their own homes and other community settings.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, we can provide an opportunity for you to develop your clinical skills in continence and experience in a supportive team, with regular supervision and appraisals. You will be required to achieve a certain competency level which we will give you support and training to help you reach. Opportunities for further training may be available through the Trusts Training Department.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
