We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, dynamic and compassionate nurses to join our friendly multidisciplinary team on the Stroke Unit.

We are committed to providing excellent standards of nursing care by supporting you in achieving the below development opportunities :

Clinical training which includes preceptorship, clinical supervision, phlebotomy skills, IV drugs, male catheterisation, ECG's, mentorship.

A bespoke stroke induction programme

Off site annual stroke development day

Support with revalidation and attending our weekly Wednesday teaching programme.

We are a 36 bed unit 8 of which are in our Hyper-Acute unit and thrombolysis on the ward with direct admissions from CT. We offer both acute and rehabilitation care whilst supporting patients through their clinical pathway. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent standards of care to our patients and relatives.
