If you are motivated, passionate about quality improvement and hard-working then please read on?

We are currently looking for a part time Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for our Inpatient Ward based in Westbourne, Bournemouth – Nightingale House.

This will be a flagship service enabling Dorset HealthCare to become one of the best rehabilitation services across the country.

Nightingale House is a mixed gender 13 bedded unit based on the Alumhurst Rd site in Westbourne, Bournemouth within walking distance of both the beach and a shopping parade. We have another inpatient unit in the West of the county in Dorchester.

Both inpatient teams work closely with our newly established Community Rehab Teams to provide a seamless transition from inpatient into the community, ensuring the patient is supported on this stage of their recovery journey.

Our vision is to provide a service that is fully integrated with the local community and the resources it can provide.

This role requires a clinical psychologist who is motivated, driven and passionate about developing an outstanding service for the individuals we serve and well as for the staff team working within the unit.

Induction will be provided and where needed, as well as additional and varied training opportunities.

You will work within an integrated multi-disciplinary team that includes Mental Health Nurses, Mental Health Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants / STR Workers, Psychologists, Psychology Assistants, Admin Assistants, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Medical Staffing.

This post will require any candidate to have a professional qualification and registration with a recognised UK governing body – please see job description and person specification for further information .

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

If you want to be part of this dynamic, forward thinking service, we would keen to hear from you.
