An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to work in the Radiotherapy Department based at the Robert White Radiotherapy Centre at Dorset County Hospital.

The Radiotherapy Department treats cancer patients all over Dorset and is run and managed by University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for high calibre individuals with good interpersonal and communication skills to be a key part of the team working directly with Oncology patients.

The role is to help facilitate the radiotherapy treatment preparation routine to patients and to support the radiotherapy outpatient setting along side a team of radiographers and other medical and technical experts.

You will be motivated to develop personally in a supportive learning environment and learn such skills as to use an ultrasound bladder scanner and support wound dressing.

Applicants do not require any radiotherapy experience as training will be provided.

Rota: 2 days per week

Based at Robert White radiotherapy centre at Dorset County Hospital
