We have an exciting opportunity to join our Gynaecology Service within the University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) Women’s Health Directorate as the Lead Nurse Colposcopist. You will provide senior nursing leadership and support to the Colposcopy service working closely with the Lead Consultant.

The Lead Nurse Colposcopist will be the designated Cervical Screening Provider Lead (CSPL) for the organisation. Responsible for ensuring that the service is aligned to National Standards and Protocols.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic experienced Nurse Colposcopist. Although it may also be possible to consider applications from those who have not yet achieved independent their colposcopy competency but are in the process of completing the appropriate training and clinical competency sign off.

The role will involve management of Colposcopy clinics and development of the UHD Colposcopy service. Utilising expert knowledge in caring for patients and leading on improving patient experience by assuring the highest standards of care.

The post holder will be aware of issues relating to clinical governance, quality assurance, clinical effectiveness and carry out their duties in accordance with these standards and frameworks.

It is very exciting time for the gynaecology service as we align our teams to provide a responsive service for our service users.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
