We are seeking to recruit a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist for the following post:

(1) 0.8 FTE Permanent post– West Dorset Locality – Weymouth CMHT –

We have a permanent vacancy for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Adult Psychology Service (APS) working closely with MDT on providing assessment, consultation, supervision and psychological interventions to our Community Mental Health Team(s). The Adult Psychology Service (APS) is an innovative department providing psychological services to the CMHTs. We offer a psychological programme aligned with a disorder specific pathway and employ both psychologists and specialist psychological therapists.

The post-holder will have the responsibility to provide psychological assessment and treatments directly to clients under the care of the CMHT and support the MDT with consultation, case formulation, reflective practice and supervision. You will be given support to undertake CPD and receive regular clinical supervision from friendly and dedicated colleagues in the Adult Psychology Service. We have close links to the psychology departments at Exeter, Bournemouth and Southampton Universities and there will be opportunities to develop these links further.

We would also welcome applicants from newly qualified psychologists on a preceptorship basis.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
