We recently went into partnership with Bournemouth University and, with the merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, became University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust this is a really exciting time to join us!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Dietitian to join our well established and highly regarded multidisciplinary stroke and neuro teams. You will be responsible for providing highly specialist nutritional assessment and advice to patients across the stroke treatment pathway. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic Dietitian, with excellent communication and team working skills to work as an integral member of this team. Experience of complex nutritional support, particularly artificial feeding, and a desire to work with this group of patients is essential.

The department has 14 dietitians, who are integrated with the speech therapy team, as part of therapy services at Poole Hospital. The department offers training to A, B and C students on placement, which you will take part in and you will also be providing support and mentorship to band 5 Dietitians and Dietetic assistants. You will be actively involved in the development, implementation and audit of patient care practices as part of Clinical Governance. The post offers excellent opportunities for professional and personal development as the clinical services evolve.
